Review: A Feast for Crows
A Feast for Crows by George R.R. Martin
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
So far this is the book I have liked the least from the fantastic saga "ASOIAF". Its a good book and George Martin's writing skills are still top-notch, but I was so eager to read about my favorite characters (Tyron, Daenerys, Jon ) and it wasn't until the last chapter where the author explains that this book is really half of a book, and this half is focused on kings landing only and that a dance with Dragons will be about other places and characters on the wall or the lands outside of westeros.
I have very high expectations for the next book, I just hope George Martin's thirst for blood won't kill those hopes.

Review: The Collector
The Collector by John Fowles
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This is a fantastically well writen story, and got me on my toes all way through. That being said I hate how this book it made me feel, there is a reason I don´t usually read this kind of books, and that is, because when I read a book I want to enjoy it.
From the very begining I couldn't help to be very emotionally touched by this book, it made me feel sad, anxious, hateful, and why not to say it a little bit of revengeful and arouse my killer instinct.
All in all, I am happy I read it and that its all over.

Review: 201 Questions for Your ITIL Foundation Exam
201 Questions for Your ITIL Foundation Exam by John Forester
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This book is a really neat way to study for the exam, but it should not be the only source of information.
The format of the book is great, since you can decide when to see the answers.
I had my certification exam today, so I cannot say for sure that I passed, but I felt pretty confident.
Te book has some typos, but otherwise the questions and answers are clear and useful.

Review: A Storm of Swords
A Storm of Swords by George R.R. Martin
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
So far this is the one I have liked the most, I found it simply awesome!! It is full of surprises, not only in the ending (which is really great) but through all the book.
I just have one complain with George R.R. Martin's book and saga, PLEASE sir, stop killing the nice characters!

Review: Oracle PL/SQL Best Practices
Oracle PL/SQL Best Practices by Steven Feuerstein
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Although the book is considerably outdated (published in 2001) and it makes reference to a very old version of Oracle Database Manager (Oracle 8i), I found it really useful, because many of the advices and features are still present in the newer versions.

Review: Los Juegos del Hambre
Los Juegos del Hambre by Suzanne Collins
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I haven´t watched the movie, but considering the success of it I was both curious and skeptical about this book. The book is really good, the plot has a very dynamic development, and I can see why it was made into a movie, it is full of action and surprises. I could not rate it 5 stars, because the ending seemed a little weak... I was hoping an ending that would make me wanna read the second book right away, but it wasn't the case (I will still read it, but not because I am intrigued)

Review: Steve Jobs
Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Review: iWoz
iWoz by Steve Wozniak
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Very inspiring book, enjoyed every page of it.
Full of interesting anecdotes, fun and relatively unknown facts about Woz and Jobs, and Apple in general.
Reading the bad reviews on this book, I can see why so many people didn't like the boo.... yes Woz is super self-centered, and a kind of arrogant when talking about himself that well, but let's face it, the guy is a true genius, and is a really nice, centered, funny guy, so I don't mind him telling me about his highly accomplished life.
In my opinion, this is a book just for engineers, otherwise it will be very difficult for other kind of people to get the passion and excitement Woz was trying to achieve when writing it.

Review: EL PARK GÜEL 1900-1914
EL PARK GÜEL 1900-1914 by Marisa García Vergara
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Review: A Clash of Kings
A Clash of Kings by George R.R. Martin
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This second book felt even longer than the first, but I enjoyed it anyway.
The way the first book ended (and the tittle of the second book)made me think this second book was going to be full of action and battles and war strategy, and I got a little dissapointed when in the first half of the book the 4 Kings were way too passive. There was none the less a lot of clever plot lines in the battles and intelligent strategies the story.
I am really loving this saga, there are many unsolved mysteries and I hope the series doesn't end like the TV series Lost (with so many questions without answer).
Starting book 3 "A Storm of swords" right away :D

Review: MC Escher : Pop-up
MC Escher : Pop-up by Courtney Watson McCarthy
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I read the Italian version of this book. My understanding of Italian is far away from optimal, since I haven´t practiced it in a long time, but I enjoyed it very much.
This book was perfect for me to read since it doesn't really have that much text and the important thing of this book are the "3D" images which were wonderfully created.
The little text there is, about Escher life and art, is also very interesting.
